Lucyyyyyyy….. I mean, Animal Planet… You Got Some ‘Splaining To Do

The perfect entry into the pet blogging world is the fact that it’s the morning after Animal Planet’s big finale to it’s hit show, Groomer Has It.  For those of you who missed the final moments, I suggest you skip over the first couple of paragraphs as not to spoil anything for you.

For the rest, as you know by now the crown when to the boy with the appealing story which we heard… and heard…. and heard, Artist. According to Animal Planet’s online poll, I must have been in the minority thinking that Jonathan deserved to win. The poll showed 94% wanted Artist. I was left wondering if  everyone had watched the same show I had.

According to wikipedia.com, out of ten challenges Jonathan won three and came in the Top Two on another three- that’s an amazing 60% (and not counting the other two Quick Sniffs he won.) Artist won one (the Chows) and came in the Bottom Two on four. This means he was in the BOTTOM for almost HALF the show (including one in which his client said she would never use his services again. After reviewing that episode, Kathleen did say she had the supply needed for the nails but Artist had already begun on the nails prior to asking her and when questioned before the judge was slightly less than truthful in his answer.) On one show, he LOST and according to the rules of the challenge he was to be sent home….. until miraculously when it was HE who lost the rules were suddenly changed and no one was sent home.

Artist was an extremely kind young man with a good heart and a great story about wishing to better his life for he and his son which he played to the hilt (in fact, he added to it as the weeks went on by placing his mom in the mix.) A huge number of viewers responded to this with the kindness of their own.

Do I think the show was rigged as many on the Animal Planet’s Groomer Mill say? I’m not certain but I know this, Animal Planet certainly has a lot of explaining to do.
